Sanaa Lounge...

The Sanaa Lounge is one of five bars (including pool bars...) at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We rank it second only to Victoria Falls for both atmosphere and drinks. The lounge is located in a shared space with Sanaa itself, on the ground floor of Kidani Village. It is tucked away in a corner of Sanaa with a wall along one side providing a definitive space...if this lounge isn't cozy, I don't know what is.

The bright warm colors, thatched roofs, and African artwork that define Animal Kingdom Lodge are carried into this space. However, the Sanaa Lounge maintains its own identity with a few special flourishes.

The focal point of the lounge is the gorgeous stone bar top, flanked by stationary custom designed backless bar stools. The beautiful bar top is mirrored by a communal table, with much more comfortable chairs.  There are also a couple banquets with low "lounge style" tables as well. These are by far the most comfortable at the lounge if you're just looking to drink and maybe have an appetizer, but they're a hot commodity.

If you're unable to get a table last minute at Sanaa, rest assured that you can order the entire menu at the lounge.  As always, we recommend Sanaa's famous bread service, which is especially good if you're just looking for a light dinner and drinks.

The Sanaa Lounge serves Disney World's standard bar menu of drinks, but also a few cocktails unique to this location.  Among them the African Starr Mojito (Starr African Rum, Van der Hum Tangerine Liqueur from South Africa, fresh Mint, and Lime) is super refreshing.

A selection of african beers is available in bottles, plus the "unique to Disney World" Safari Amber. (a red lager brewed by Anheuser-Busch)  The selection of African wines is very impressive, and the lounge offers different flights for under $20. If you're a wine drinker we highly recommend this option.
