Maji Pool Bar

Unlike the Uzima Springs Pool Barover at Jambo House, the Maji Pool Bar is not the focal point of the Kidani Village pool.  Set in a corner of the pool area, very close to a terrific Pembe savanna overlook, the Maji Pool Bar is a little more low key and less frantic than its Jambo House cousin.     Tucked away, surrounded by lush landscaping, with a terrific view, this bar is the perfect place to spend a few hours relaxing between theme park excursions. Maji (water is Swahili) really does feel like an Oasis in the middle of nowhere.

Like the bar at Uzima Springs, Maji Pool Bar also follows the Disney World standard pool bar menu. Though this menu is pretty uninspired, the drinks that it does promote are perfect for a hot day spent lounging around the pool.  Frozen drinks like the Pina Co-LAVA (Barcardi Black Razz Rum blended with Piña Colada Mix and Raspberry Purée) have become synonymous with spending time at Disney pools. While nothing says "vacation" like our favorite Black Cherry Lemonade.

If you're a beer drinker you might go into your Disney World vacation assuming you will be confined to a few macro-brewery options. However, Disney has made great strides in the past few years and now carry a pretty decent selection, including local craft brewery options.  Florida favorite Cigar City has become widely available across Walt Disney World.

One of the biggest complaints about the Kidani Village side of the resort is the lack of a counter service restaurant.  To ease complaints a few years ago Maji started serving a limited lunchtime menu including sandwiches, hamburgers/veggie burgers, and falafel.  The food is ok, but we recommend a lunch at Sanaa...which will only run you a few dollars more, with exceedingly better food.

The small building that houses Maji is also occupied by a convenient restroom (this pool area has two! Why doesn't Jambo's pool?). This is also the location of one of two refillable mug stations at Kidani.  If you plan on spending a lot of time at the pool we highly recommend buying a refillable mug.

Though times may change, Maji is traditionally open from 11AM-9PM.
